Short on time? Our efficient 1-day Ziyarat plan for Madinah & Makkah covers key sites with optimized taxi routes. Let UmrahPath Taxi make your whirlwind spiritual journey seamless.
For many pilgrims, time is a precious commodity. Whether you’re on a tight schedule or have a long layover, the desire to visit the sacred sites of Madinah and Makkah in a single day is a common challenge. While we always recommend spending more time in these blessed cities if possible, a well-planned, one-day journey is achievable and deeply rewarding.
This intensive itinerary is designed for maximum spiritual benefit and logistical efficiency. The key to its success? Reliable, pre-booked transportation with UmrahPath Taxi. Trying to navigate this alone with public transport or hailing cabs would be impossible. With us, you can focus on your Ibadah while we handle the clock.
Important Disclaimer: This is a demanding schedule. It requires starting very early, ending late, and involves significant travel time. It is designed for those who truly have no other option. The journey between Madinah and Makkah by car is approximately 4-5 hours.
Your Efficient 1-Day Ziyarat Itinerary: Madinah to Makkah
This plan assumes you are starting your day in Madinah.
Part 1: The Spiritual Dawn in Madinah (5:00 AM – 9:00 AM)
5:00 AM – 6:30 AM: Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet’s Mosque)
- Activity: Begin your day with Fajr prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque. This is the most blessed time to be there. After prayer, spend time sending Salawat upon the Prophet (PBUH) and, if possible, try to pray in the Rawdah (the garden from the gardens of Paradise). Note: Rawdah access for men and women can require a long wait; have this intention and try if the crowd is manageable, but be prepared to pray elsewhere in the mosque if time is short.
- UmrahPath Taxi Tip: Your taxi will be pre-booked to pick you up from your Madinah hotel at 4:30 AM to ensure you arrive for Fajr on time.
6:30 AM – 8:00 AM: Masjid Quba
- Activity: Your UmrahPath Taxi will be waiting to drive you to Masjid Quba, the first mosque of Islam. Here, perform two rak’ahs of prayer, fulfilling the Sunnah and earning a reward like that of Umrah.
- Travel Time: ~20 minutes from Masjid an-Nabawi.
8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: The Seven Mosques (Saba’ Masajid)
- Activity: A quick visit to this historic site, particularly Masjid Al-Fath, to reflect on the Battle of the Trench. You can perform a short prayer and absorb the significance of the location.
- Travel Time: ~15 minutes from Masjid Quba.
Part 2: The Journey Between the Holy Cities (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
9:00 AM: Departure from Madinah to Makkah
- Activity: Your UmrahPath Taxi will collect you from the Seven Mosques area to begin the journey to Makkah. This is a perfect time for Dhikr, listening to Quran, or resting.
- UmrahPath Taxi Tip: We use comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles perfect for this long drive. Our drivers are experienced and know the best routes. You can pre-book a stop for restrooms and refreshments.
Part 3: The Afternoon of Faith in Makkah (2:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
~2:00 PM: Arrival in Makkah & Preparing for Umrah
- Activity: Your driver will take you directly to your hotel or a point near the Haram to freshen up and change into Ihram. If your Ihram is already on, you can proceed directly.
- UmrahPath Taxi Tip: We can arrange for your luggage to be held securely in the vehicle if your hotel check-in is later.
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Perform Umrah
- Activity: Enter the state of Ihram at the Miqat (your driver will ensure you cross it on the highway, and you can make your intention then). Upon reaching the Haram, perform your Tawaf, Sa’i, and shave/trim your hair to complete your Umrah.
- Note: This timeframe can vary significantly based on crowd levels.
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Ziyarat in Makkah & Final Prayers
- Activity: After completing Umrah and changing back into regular clothes, your UmrahPath Taxi will take you on a condensed Ziyarat tour:
- Jabal al-Noor (Cave of Hira): View the mountain. The climb is likely not feasible in this tight schedule, but seeing it is powerful.
- Jabal Thawr (Cave of Thawr): Similarly, view the mountain and reflect on the story of the Hijra.
- Travel Time: The taxi will efficiently shuttle you between these sites.
9:00 PM Onwards: Farewell Tawaf & Departure
- Activity: Return to the Haram for Maghrib/Isha prayers and perform a farewell Tawaf (Tawaf Al-Wadaa) if you are departing Makkah immediately after.
- UmrahPath Taxi Tip: Your taxi will be on standby to take you to Jeddah Airport (approx. 1-hour drive) or your Makkah hotel at the end of your spiritual day.
